About Me

Hi, I’m Duarte, founder of "Madeira Green And Blue Tours", a man whose love for Madeira has been a life long adventure. Originally from the Island, I spent much of my life abroad, but Madeira has always been in my heart. 

When life brought me back home, I turned my passion for exploration into something more. What started as a hobby, discovering hidden gems across Madeira, soon became a calling.

Today my dream has come to life in "Madeira Green And Blue Tours", a company born from the desire to share my favorite hidden spots, untouched by mass tourism, with adventurers like you.

Great way to see the islands highlights

We had a fantastic Jeep tour of Madeira with Duarte (as recommended by JoeyP). We were picked up from our Airbnb and covered some of the islands highlights. We decided not to hire a car and so this was a great way to see some of the less easily accessible sights. Beautiful views, coastline, forest, waterfalls and sampled a few poncha too. Duarte was a very knowledgeable, fun and passionate guide who got the balance perfectly. He was flexible and provided some great local recommendations. He even brought cake and Madeira wine for us to share as one person on the trip had a birthday. Highly recommend.

An absolutely amazing full-day tour in Madeira! The 4x4 adventure across the island and walking through the Fanal forest was breathtaking, and the Levada walk was a fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Duarte, was exceptional – knowledgeable, friendly, and truly made the day unforgettable. Excellent private tour!

An excellent tour with plenty to see. Duarte was incredibly knowledgeable and knew lots about the island, the people living there and the natural habitat. We were picked up from our hotel and spent 8 hours exploring levadas, villages and Fanal forest. We had an excellent lunch overlooking the ocean and got to try Poncha. Twice!
